NEW LANDSCAPING PLANTS SECTION!

To further open our doors to all plants in our garden, we recently have started the long talked about 'landscaping plants' section of Plan-It! Earth Gardens! We have discussed it for a few years now & have always decided against growing too many non-edible plants down at PIE... but that has recently changed. We now are growing many beautiful landscape plants that can be bought individually or used on different gardens that we are creating or being hired to create! We have a small forest of Elephant Ears, Lots of healthy Yucca plants, Purple Verbena, 2 Banana trees, Ginger Lilies & a Lilac bush too! The list will only continue to grow as we get more plants in the near future! It has always been hard for us to spend time trying to grow plants that couldn't be eaten, weren't medicine or weren't pollinator attractors. But over the years, the importance of aesthetics in the garden has finally found a home in our minds. We still don't want to spend much time on non-edible/non-medicinal plants... but increasing the beauty of your garden can be very simple! Planting stuff that is perennial is a must! Don't waste your time planting pansies or other annual flowers! Plant or (better yet) transplant stuff that is a good self seeder or that you can split up later. Though we won't spend much time tending this landscape bed, it's presence at PIE has already made that part of the garden much more fun to be in! I'm glad we finally got with the program! (Best of all... it's an excuse to get EVEN MORE PLANTS IN THE GROUND!!!)
