2016
At the beginning of 2016, Tracy and Alexa joined us, helping us manage and grow down at Earth! We started seeing lot of other familiar faces helping us out too! We also began incorporating more of the Permaculture based methods that we always wanted to use, but never had the man power... such as Hugel beds, wicking systems and creating micro-climates around Fig trees. The Fig plantings also began our expanding of Plan-It! Earth out onto the 'new land' (the mainly unused southern 4 acres of land surrounding the Watershed!)
2015
In 2015 we really began trying to clean up the land and make a permanent difference with our actions and planting! Taking into consideration native plantlife, water runoff/erosion (from the nearby Fourche river) and how to beautify and enrich the land we gardened on for ALL life! We created a new bed called 'Strawberry Hill' and lots more perennials herbs too!
2014
This was a very slow year for Plan-It! Earth. Most of my time was spent up on Star Mountain, AR (apprenticing with a beautiful fruit tree orchard.)
Zach and I ended up doing most the work ourselves, so we stuck to very traditional gardening methods to simplify everything. Eventually, we created five 70 foot long garden beds... planting greens, Okra and Hopi Corn in 4 of the them and perennial herbs in the 5th bed!
2013
The Fall of 2013 was our very 1st year to garden down by the Watershed! We started off with two 70 foot long garden beds (that we grew lots of greens in!) and a very basic compost system.
