HOPS!

Thanks to our friends at Dunbar Garden for the huge donation of Hops rhyzomes this season! With this donation we were able to transplant hops along 80 foot of fenceline!

- Hops are Perennial, so we will not have to transplant them in that area again! In fact, we will probably have to thin them in the coming season as they continue to grow and be prolific. But, that means that we will get to 'pass it forward' as well and gift out rhyzomes next season!

- When Hops are healthy, they can grow over 25 feet or more in 1 season! (it's a vine).

- Besides being an ingredient in beer making... Hops is an excellent herb to aid in sleep. So, another medicinal plant has found it way into our already wide array of herbs down at PIE!
